Blinker – Potential Car Insurance Entrant

Blinker, a financial services company-slash-app that allows customers to snap a photo and sell their cars, has officially launched last month. Basically the Denver-based business lets users take a picture of their car and driver’s license and later list their car. In turn, the app handles the purchase offers, payments, and ensures the seller is paid in full. Fine Print: currently operating in Colorado with plans to expand to Texas and Florida. Bottom Line: making plans to begin offering car insurance via the app .

Speaking of snapping a photo and getting ‘a task’ done, recall: Cover, Insurify, and Marmalade. Cover because it offers a mobile app that takes in a picture of a property to later connect the user with insurance partners. Insurify because it allows the user to text a picture of their license plate and get car insurance quotes. Marmalade because offers an app to allow users to get an insurance quote on a potential new car by taking a  picture of the license plate.
