Brella Insurance rebrands to Ansel

Ansel Health , formerly known as Brella Insurance, has unveiled its rebrand, embodying the essence of protection in its new name, which means “protector” in German. This rebranding reflects Ansel’s mission to safeguard members from the financial strain of unexpected health events.

Founded in 2019 and having raised $19 million, Ansel is a provider of supplemental health insurance, backed by Fidelity Security Life Insurance. Ansel’s plan offers  benefits for over 13,000 conditions. The payout amounts, chosen during enrollment, vary based on the severity of the diagnosed condition.

Ansel is currently available in 28 states and DC. It also powers insurance companies such as Nationwide to distribute and manage their own versions of the Ansel product.

Bottom Line: Third rebrand in 4 years.
