Generali considering potential deals

According to a report by Bloomberg, Italian insurer Generali is analyzing a range of potential acquisitions as part of its growth plans.

Some of these deals could be worth more than €10 billion ($10.9 billion), according to the report.

The Italian insurer would only consider “friendly deals” and some of the potential targets include Aviva, Aegon, Ageas, ERGO, Mapfre, Uniqa, VIG, and NN Group.

Last year, Generali acquired a group of European businesses from Liberty Mutual for $2.5 billion.
