About the Role

As Tint’s Head of Product you’ll have the unique opportunity to shape the future of some of the highest impact initiatives in the booming InsurTech industry. This role grants you substantial autonomy to navigate through complex challenges, transforming them into innovative and successful solutions.

You will work directly with customers as well as the founding team and will be involved in the early stages of the startup development and establishing the product culture and team at Tint. You will have a lot of ownership and drive ambiguous initiatives from 0 to 1.

What you’ll do at Tint

  • Engage directly with customers and the founding team, playing a crucial role in the early-stage development of the startup, establishing a robust product culture, and assembling a high-performing product team
  • Develop a market-leading product by pinpointing critical issues, identifying innovation opportunities, understanding stakeholder needs, and analyzing the competitive landscape
  • Manage the full lifecycle of new product offerings, focusing on the development of reusable and scalable solutions across various protection offerings
  • Collaborate across functions to prioritize and execute the product roadmap effectively
  • Transform underwriting and actuarial requirements into robust technology solutions, enhancing the efficiency and impact of our offerings

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager in the startup technology space, managing end-to-end product stacks, from conceptualization (0) to launch (1), including scaling products and teams of Product Managers.
  • 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry with deep understanding of insurance systems.
  • Demonstrated track record of leveraging consumer insights, analytics, and market research to deeply understand consumer needs, pain points, and behaviors
  • Comfortable working in a startup environment with senior leadership, designers, engineers, and data analysts to ship products
  • Strategic thinker able to switch effortlessly between high-level strategic planning and detailed execution, including defining product specifics and addressing complex cases
  • An ability to deep-dive into complex technical concepts coupled with an ability to thrive in ambiguity
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly articulating customer issues and needs
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in coordinating teams, managing stakeholders, and working cross-functionally to achieve objectives

Bonus Points For

  • Experience with ML/AI technologies
  • Background in underwriting, actuarial science, claims, or similar roles within the insurance industry before transitioning to Product Management
  • Experience working on APIs, Saas, and/or Enterprise products 
  • Business acumen, possibly evidenced by an MBA or insurance qualifications
  • Proficiency in SQL

Location

This role is fully remote, however the ideal candidate will need to work in US time zones and be able to travel every 6 – 8 weeks for collaborative work opportunities.

Pay transparency

It is Tint’s intent to pay all Team Members competitive wages and salaries that are motivational, fair and equitable. The goal of Tint’s compensation program is to be transparent, attract potential employees, meet the needs of all current employees, and encourage Team Members to stay with our organization.

The base salary range for this position in the United States is $170,000 – $258,000. The total compensation package for this position includes an equity package as well as the benefits listed below. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
