Dallas-based insurance startup Bestow has raised $2.5M in a seed round  from 8VC, Core Innovation Capital, Morpheus Ventures, and New Enterprise Associates, according to Crunchbase. This is Bestow:

The startup, established in 2016 by Jonathan Abelmann and Melbourne O’Banion (think: mountain climber), is set to offer six-figure life insurance coverage in five minutes or less through data-driven technology applications. The mission according to Melbourne & Jonathan: “A consumer-first approach to solve these problems meant redesigning the entire process from the ground up. Simple products. Algorithmic underwriting.
