Neptune Flood is Feeling Opportunistic

The Federal Emergency Management Agency has ruled that the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) can’t be renewed during the ongoing government shutdown. Recall: Parts of the US government shut down a week ago as Congress missed a deadline to pass spending bills. The NFIP was among the things affected by the partial shutdown – meaning the NFIP can now no longer sell or renew policies, while existing policies will remain in effect until their expiration date.

Feeling Opportunistic

Neptune Flood , the St Petersburg, FL-based flood insurance provider, jumped at the opportunity to announce that “homeowners in 21 flood prone states can buy their flood insurance policy online, in minutes, with higher limits and optional coverages not provided by the NFIP.” “If you’d like to buy a policy, visit Neptune’s online store at www.neptuneflood.com, where homeowners in 21 states can shop for coverage and purchase insurance in minutes.”
