Small Door opens NYC location

Small Door , the veterinary services startup reimagining the veterinary experience, announced the grand opening of its NYC location.

Founded in 2017 and led by Josh Guttman and Florent Peyre, Small Door has raised $3.5 million from Lerer Hippeau Ventures, Primary Venture Partners and Brand Foundry Ventures. Founders of Flatiron Health, Warby Parker and Sweetgreen are also investors.

The startup offers a members-only veterinary experience with memberships starting at $8 for cats $12 for dogs per month, which gives access to a set of features such as same or next-day appointments, unlimited 24/7 virtual care and annual exams. The services aren’t an alternative to pet insurance and according to its site, Small Door accepts all forms of insurance.

Bottom Line: Looks nicer than my doctor’s office.
