Snug’s First Tweet

Snug is a Sydney-based rental community platform in the making with the goal of improving how people rent . It was founded by Justin Butterworth. The company’s website lists two products: BondCover and RentBook.

BondCover

With BondCover, property owners are protected from payment defaults, while good renters can swap their cash bond for a BondCover certificate, for a ~5% fee, and free up their money. Renters can expect around 95% of their bond back in 2-4 weeks.

RentBook

The online property management software allows property owners to keep track of their properties and send rent reminder payments to tenants; to name two features. The service is free for up to 4 properties. Beyond 4 properties, the cost is $5.50 per property, capped at $99 per month.

Note: RentBook has been available since 2008
