The struggle of health insurers

Health insurer Oscar, valued at $2.7 billion, reported $105.2 million losses last year; $92.4 million in New York and $12.8 million in New Jersey. Bottom Line: the company spent more on medical costs than it took in in premiums but still considers the space a “viable market”.
