UrbanStat adds over 30 countries in Europe to its data collection

Chicago, IL – 09/03/2020 | UrbanStat, a leading provider of underwriting solutions for P&C insurance companies, has expanded its data coverage to over 35 countries globally covering most countries in Europe and North America.

UrbanStat has helped several insurance companies globally since 2014 to understand their portfolios better and improve their underwriting operations using geospatial analytics and machine learning. Companies like Sompo Japan, Ageas, VIG, Safety Insurance, and Allianz are utilizing UrbanStat technologies on a daily basis to underwrite their policies in both personal and commercial lines. With this expansion, UrbanStat has increased its coverage from 3 countries to over 35 countries and is excited to start working with more carriers in Europe.

With this expansion, European insurance carriers will be able to utilize UrbanStat services to analyze over 25 different data points for any address in European Union and other countries in the continent. Current datasets include perils such as Earthquake, Storm, Flood, Wildfire, Landslide, and Crime as well as socioeconomic metrics. Already integrated with leading core system providers such as Duck Creek and OneShield, UrbanStat has more integrations on the way. As always, smaller carriers which prefer to use our online portal can continue to utilize the web user interfaces without integrations.
