Workiz raises $5 million

Field service management startup Workiz has raised $5 million in a Series A round led by Magenta Venture Partners, with participation from returning investor Aleph.

Founded in 2015 by Saar Kohanovitch, Idan Kadosh and Erez Marom, Workiz provides field service companies with a set of tools to manage work and client interaction. Pricing starts at $50 a month and some of the features include scheduling, dispatching, job progress, invoicing and payment.

The startup was founded after Kadosh and Marom who worked as locksmiths for more than 15 years where they had to rely on pen, paper and Excel spreadsheets to manage their business.

Workiz says it grew 247% last year and the startup currently has thousands of customers in the US and Canada in the areas of locksmithing, garage door repair, junk removal, appliance repair and carpet cleaning.

Bottom Line: Your next distribution partner.
