Buy gas and car insurance too

Tango, a gas station network in the Netherlands that’s owned by Kuwait’s Q8, is now offering usage-based car insurance in which policyholders pay for kilometers driven (tracked with a TomTom odometer). The pilot – dubbed Tango Car Insurance – is conducted in collaboration with Dutch insurer NN and is based on the insurer’s Bundelz initiative.

“We have the ambition to become a progressive player in mobility. Tango Car Insurance fits in with this and offers a smart way of sustainable and cost-saving mobility.” – Koen Vankelst, Senior Operations Director at Tango.

Coverage can be purchased via www.Tango-Autoverzekering.nl.

Bottom Line: “Never before has a gas station in the Netherlands offered such a product.”
