MAPFRE & Amazon: Partnership Evolves
Spanish insurer MAPFRE is introducing a loyalty plan to offer customers discounts on their purchases at Amazon.es. This initiative is part of a collaboration initiated last year between the insurance company and the e-commerce giant.
MAPFRE policyholders can benefit from up to 10% discount on their purchases at Amazon.es . The e-commerce company will apply discounts to MAPFRE customers who buy from Amazon.es , and MAPFRE will reimburse the clients during renewal.
During the first three months of the campaign, discounts will be made on all Amazon.es products, and subsequently certain categories will be rewarded. To be eligible, customers must register online for the loyalty program.
Wait there’s more. MAPFRE has installed in Spain the first Amazon Lockers (storage units for deliveries of purchases made on Amazon.es) in select locations; specifically: Madrid, Bilbao, Barcelona, Badalona, Vigo, Seville, Burgos, Malaga and Valencia.
The first lockers were placed last December in Madrid – the social headquarters of the insurer – to serve ~4k employees who access these facilities on a daily basis. At checkout, Amazon.es customers can choose to pick up their package from an Amazon Locker, and when the package arrives, customers receives an email notification with a unique code, as well as the address and opening hours of the selected collection point.
